Using This Publication

Useful analysis depends on understanding both the evidence and the boundaries of its use.

Publisher and scope

This website is published by Spritzpuzzlewhistl Aquatic Media Ltd, company no. 15128476, at 18 Queen Square, Bristol BS1 4LH, United Kingdom. These terms explain the basis on which the editorial material and local browser tools are provided. Questions may be sent to [email protected].

Educational information, not individual advice

The articles provide general information about swimming performance analysis. They are not personalised coaching programmes, medical advice, rehabilitation guidance, equipment certification or an official interpretation of competition rules. No performance improvement is guaranteed. A measurement or example described here may not apply to a particular swimmer, device, event or training environment.

Use qualified coaching and relevant professional support when making individual decisions. Pain, illness, dizziness or other health concerns should be addressed by an appropriately qualified health professional, not interpreted solely through technique footage or sensor data.

Pool safety and rules

Follow pool operating procedures, supervision requirements, equipment instructions and the current rules for the event. Never practise underwater breath-holding alone, use hyperventilation to extend an underwater effort or treat distance underwater as a safety-neutral performance target. Camera systems, cables and tethering equipment must be assessed and managed by competent people so that they do not create hazards.

Accuracy and availability

We aim to describe methods carefully, but research, device software and regulations change. The publication may contain errors or become incomplete. Check primary sources and current manufacturer documentation before relying on a technical detail. We may amend, withdraw or interrupt content and do not promise uninterrupted availability.

External links are provided for context. We do not control linked websites and do not endorse every statement or product they contain. Mentioning a researcher, governing body or institution does not imply affiliation, approval or participation in this publication.

Copyright and acceptable use

Unless otherwise indicated, original editorial text and site design are owned by the publisher. You may read, link to and make reasonable personal study copies of the publication. Any quotation must comply with applicable copyright law and acknowledge its source. Images and third-party material remain subject to their respective rights; permission to use this website does not grant an unrestricted licence to reuse them.

Do not misrepresent the material as your own, remove attribution from redistributed excerpts, attempt unauthorised access or interfere with the site. Contact the editorial desk for substantial republication, adaptation or commercial reuse requests.

Browser tools and enquiries

The enquiry tool generates text locally. Copy and download are not sending functions, and no response is initiated by using them. You are responsible for reviewing the draft, protecting local files and deciding what to send through your email provider. Browser permissions and settings can affect clipboard and download behaviour.

Do not send confidential information about others without an appropriate basis. Handling of information that we actually receive is explained in the privacy notice.

Liability and applicable law

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on general editorial information, unavailable content or independent third-party websites. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your mandatory statutory rights are unaffected.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings elsewhere. Revisions will be published on this page.
